This page explains what happens to your personal data when you use soloclientengine.com, sign up for a free download, or contact us. We keep it short and plain on purpose.
Who we are
Solo Client Engine publishes AI prompt books for freelancers, consultants and solopreneurs. You can reach us at hello@soloclientengine.com.
What we collect
- Your email address, when you sign up for a free download. Our email provider also records technical details of the sign-up, such as the time, your IP address and when you confirmed.
- Your messages, if you write to us or reply to one of our emails.
- Sign-up checks: before your address reaches our email provider we check that it is a valid, permanent address (we compare its domain with a list of temporary-email services and look up whether the domain can receive email) and run a human check with Cloudflare Turnstile, which may read basic browser and network signals. We do not store the result of these checks.
- Basic server data (such as your IP address and the pages requested), which our hosting provider processes to deliver and secure this site.
- Purchase details, if you buy a book. Purchases happen on Gumroad. We do not see your payment card details; Gumroad shares order information with us, such as your email address and what you bought.
Why we use it
- To send you the free download you asked for, and then emails about freelancing, AI prompts and our books. You confirm your email address before we send anything. If you are in the EU or UK, our legal basis is your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time.
- To answer your messages and to deliver files you bought.
- To keep this site working and secure.
We do not sell your personal data.
Who handles it for us
- Kit, our email provider, stores the subscriber list and sends our emails.
- Cloudflare provides our domain, website hosting, email forwarding, the human check (Turnstile) and the DNS lookup used to check email domains.
- Gumroad runs our store and processes purchases under its own privacy policy.
If you arrive from Pinterest, we only see ordinary referral information such as the pin you came from. These providers may process data in other countries, including the United States.
Cookies
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies of our own, and this site does not currently use analytics. Our providers may use technical cookies or similar data that are needed for security and to make forms and checkout work.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address until you unsubscribe. After that, we keep only the minimum record needed to make sure you are not emailed again. Order records are kept as long as the law requires.
Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe at any time with the link at the bottom of every email.
- Ask us what data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it, by writing to hello@soloclientengine.com.
- If you think we have handled your data wrongly, you can complain to the data protection authority in your country.
Children
Our books and emails are written for people who run a business and are not directed at children.
Changes
If we change this page, we will update the date at the top.
